Usage of a second gradation

by Armin Claus last modified 2007-11-28 17:08

Common production may necessitate the use of not only one but two gradations for an order.

You may need to use several gradations if you want to achieve or compensate different effects. The Flexo Manager from now on allows you to use a second gradation to allow for this circumstance.

With the first gradation that you determine in the default settings you compensate effects of the image setter. As these effects are identical for all orders you use this gradation for all orders without exception. The second gradation on the other hand compensates the dot gain during the print, in other words it depends on the print substrate, i. e. paper, film, etc.
