Remote maintainance

Secure remote maintainance and service using the Internet: We maintain servers and installations of our customers worldwide using secure VPNs (virtual private networks) tunneled through the internet.

Many of our customers wish a direct maintainance of their servers by us.  We use so called VPNs (virtual private networks) which use secure data encryption for all communication between us and the customer site.  To do this we use and offer the following list of VPN protocols and solutions:

• OpenSSH - TCP/IP Port 22; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Openssh
  
• OpenVPN - UDP Port 1194; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenVPN
• PPTP - a solution invented by MicroSoft; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pptp
  
• Cisco IPsec using VPNC; see http://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/~massar/vpnc/

Unfortunately we can not use and will not use any other exotic VPN-solution which would require us to install any commercial Windows-VPN-client, as for example Avaya Nortel, WatchGuard_Entry or similar.
